Operators can signal task completion by drawing their hand across a limit switch, by breaking infrared, photo-eye-based light curtain, or by pushing the dome light/confirmation button. Ideal for Lean production operations seeking the benefits of light-directed error-proofing, this model also minimizes additional or wasteful physical movement.
The Build2Light Advantage.
The AW Hands-Free series offers two options for task confirmation. As they withdraw their hand from a bin, operators verify picks by brushing their wrist against a limit switch. Or, the 2039FE photo-eye sensor model produces a height and sensitivity adjustable light curtain. Breaking the light beam confirms the operator is at the right part location.
Key Features and Options.
Devices are offered with 0- or 3-digit displays to direct unit quantities. The large, bright, three-dimensional dome LED light can illuminate in seven different colors (white, red, green, blue, orange, purple and turquoise). This capability enables users to continuously improve their best light-directed picking practices.
Easy Installation and Modification.
AW Push-Button and Hands-Free task confirmation models easily mount to both flat and curved surfaces. Unlike the duct-based mounting system utilized by JW and SW Series lights, AW Series lights use non-polar AI cable. Devices can be easily removed or inserted with simple tools, making the AW Series ideal for operations with frequent layout changes.
